Parents

Parent portal

How to invite parents, what they see in their cabinet, and how to pay an invoice by card without access to school administration.

Updated:

On this page

The parent portal gives parents access to everything that matters about their child’s learning — without having to call the school with the usual “how’s my Max doing?” questions. Administrators spend less time repeating themselves, and parents get transparency.

Inviting a parent

You can invite a parent from the student’s profile → the Parents/Guardians tab → “Invite”. Enter an email — the parent receives a message with a link and sets their own password.

One student — up to two parents. If a parent has several children at your school, they see all of them in a single cabinet after signing in. A separate account for each child isn’t needed.

What a parent sees

After signing in, the parent sees their child’s dashboard — or a child picker, if there are several — with these sections:

Schedule

Upcoming lessons: date, time, teacher, status. No editing.

Attendance

A journal of past lessons with statuses: present, late, absent. If the child starts missing lessons, the parent sees it without a single phone call.

Homework

For each assignment, the parent sees the assignment statement, status — assigned, submitted, reviewed or overdue — plus the mark and teacher comment. The child’s answers and files stay private. If the deadline has passed and nothing has been submitted, the status is highlighted.

Lesson balance and invoices

How many lessons are left on the balance. All invoices with their statuses: paid, awaiting payment, overdue.

Payment in two taps

An unpaid invoice is shown with a “Pay” button. Tapping it opens the mono, WayForPay or LiqPay payment form. The parent pays by card from their invited cabinet and never receives access to the school’s admin panel.

The “is everything okay” banner

At the top of the dashboard there’s an aggregated signal banner. When everything is fine, it’s green and stays out of the way. When something needs attention, the banner turns yellow or red and shows:

  • An outstanding debt.
  • Two or more missed lessons in a row.
  • Overdue homework.

One glance, and the parent knows whether action is needed.

Notifications for parents

A new-invoice notification is built in. From the Studio plan, the school can enable ready-made automation recipes for absences, homework or balance. Delivery depends on the enabled channel and a linked recipient: Telegram needs a linked recipient and email needs a valid address.

What parents do NOT see

  • The school’s internal notes about the student.
  • Other students’ data or the school’s finances.
  • Teacher rates and payroll.
  • Administrator features, such as changing the schedule or issuing invoices.

A parent account is strictly view-and-pay only.

For automated parent notifications, enable the relevant ready-made recipe from the Studio plan.

When portal figures need context, prepare a personal message using the parent progress update playbook: what went well, what needs attention and the next step.
