We're building what we wished we had
Mimiao is a Ukrainian product — a CRM for online language schools — that we're building because, for far too long, schools have been held together by spreadsheets, messengers and one administrator's memory.
Why Mimiao exists
Almost every language school starts the same way: a spreadsheet for payments, a handful of chats for the schedule, and one administrator who keeps in their head who owes what and who has a lesson tomorrow. Up to about thirty students, it even feels manageable. Then formulas break, payments slip through, the person burns out — and another evening goes to reconciling books that are off by twenty dollars. We watched this up close and concluded that the problem isn't the people or any lack of care; it's tools that were never built to run a school. Mimiao is our answer: one place instead of ten tabs, where the routine finally runs itself so that you can run the school.
What we believe
First, money has to be correct. Mimiao's financial ledger is immutable: records are never edited or deleted after the fact, only compensated with new entries, so every payment keeps a history that nobody can quietly “adjust”. Second, the software should be built specifically for language schools, not a generic CRM with spreadsheets taped to the side: that's why a journal, a lesson balance for every student, teacher payroll and a parent portal are here out of the box — not just a sales pipeline. Third, warmth toward the people who teach. We craft the teacher, student and parent cabinets with the same care as the owner's dashboard, because a school runs on the people in it, not on a feature list.
A Ukrainian product, in two languages
Mimiao is built in Ukraine and for Ukraine — with respect for how schools here actually work: payments in the local currency, the messengers people already use, the everyday realities a templated foreign system never sees. At the same time, we make the product available in English, because language schools and tutors work with students all over the world, and a good tool shouldn't stop at a border. The interface, documentation and support come in both Ukrainian and English — and we write each one as a native language, never as a machine translation of the other.
Who's behind it
Mimiao is not an anonymous service. The product was founded and is built by Illia Pinchuk, and the distance between you and product decisions is deliberately short: when you write to mimiaobusiness@gmail.com, the reply comes not from a “customer care department” but from someone who can actually fix what hurts — often in the very next update. We believe a school that trusts a system with its money and its students deserves to know exactly who stands behind it.
We're still pre-launch — and we're honest about it
Mimiao is in beta, ahead of launch, and we say so plainly: no invented customer counts, ratings or testimonials. The demo page shows whether access to the test school is already open and also lets you book a personal walkthrough. The most useful thing for us right now is hearing what hurts, what is missing and what we should do differently.
